Brittsy and Inga had arrived for a visit to Hong Kong around 13th September, 1997 until 4th October

I'd arranged a whole raft of "things to do", "people to see", "places to go" - and one of those was Macau...

Had to go to the Bella Vista Hotel for lunch - favourite place in Macau (shame its (I think) the Portuguese Embassy now)

And here we are - on the terrace, perusing the "me and you" - and Brittsy being the adventurous being that she is - decided she'd have "Quails".....

WRONG!! she said they were like two little scraps of rubber, which gave rise to the telling of the story of the Chinese restaurant owner who asked a diner "how was his meal" - to which the reply was "rubbery" - and the owner said "Ahhh, thank you velly much" - well I enjoyed it!!

Much wandering around later (into smelly markets that Brittsy didn't like)..

and we'd found the cathedral facade - Brittsy was hurriedly searching the guide book for details of when they were going to finish the rest of it...!! If you don't know - it was built hundreds of years ago - burnt down - and that's all that's left.

I think - after this - I'd booked Brittsy, Inga and myself on a few days trip to Boracay, Philippines. At the last moment, I couldn't go - so the two intrepids set off and enjoyed a merry couple of days in paradise..
